For your sake I have braved the glen And had to do with goblin merchant men ["Goblin Market" by Christina Rossetti] imWalde is proud to announce a new shop (companion to The Bone Forest Collection) called GOBLINESQUERIE, which features curious and creepy artefacts from the forest’s underbelly – assemblage jewelry, ritual implements, decorative art, and [...]

The third annual Full Steam Eugene steampunk-inspired local fashion show took place in downtown Eugene Oregon this week and I was delighted to be one of the vendors lining the street from 6pm well into the night. It was my first show outside, which also required lighting as it got dark (I do love the [...]
The appearance of modernity

There are many reasons I long for the days before everything was plastic, the days before we began irrevocably altering our planet… important reasons that are both political and religious. Last weekend I had the opportunity (albeit with very short notice, and taken up on a whim) to hawk my wares at a local craft show here in Eugene, Oregon. Another little craft project I snuck in recently, as a birthday gift for my partner (who has an inordinate fondness for spiders): a clay spider, painted with a skull, whose legs are the rib bones of a raccoon. Those bones were just the perfect shape for this, I couldn’t resist.
Small woodland dolls

While I work on more elaborate doll-making, I’ve been amusing myself with these – small primitive dolls made by decorating simple wooden forms. My first one, a sort of invocation of winter when I was really sick of warm weather. Made from scraps of sweaters, yarn, and sitting on moss: My second one, made for [...]

While of course I love promoting my own Etsy shop, I wanted to take some time to profile the shops of other artists on Etsy that inspire me. There are too many for one post, but let’s start with these, all of which use animal parts or the design of such in some way… Forest [...]
